Research

In 2016, Alex got her start in the Bowerman Sports Science Center as an undergraduate researcher where she focused on the biomechanical risks of stress fractures in elite endurance athletes. Her doctoral research centered around the properties of lower limb muscle-tendon units during human locomotion. In her return to the BSSC, she aims to apply mathematical models to better understand the function/dysfunction of bone, muscle, and tendon in endurance athletes.

Personal

When she isn’t in the lab, Alex enjoys exploring the outdoors and cooking tasty food with her partner, Bryce. She also enjoys various pickup sports including sand volleyball.
